Meet my audience

This is someone in the audience who will be ideal to watch our opening 2 minute sequence. This is because it is generally aimed at the lower/ working class people or people who do not come from a wealthy background and can personally identify themselves with the main character.

Call Sheets

These are the call sheets that we have produced every time we have filmed.

Location Recce

These are photos of the areas that we are going to film our opening sequence.

The picture we took were mostly during a sunny and bright day. Me and my group hoped the weather would become darker during the days we would have filmed because this will mean the natural lighting can reflect a rather dark atmosphere/tone in a British Social Realism film. The locations we have chosen to film include Vauxhall and Stockwell.

1st photo: This first image is of a small alleyway with a wet floor. The reason why we have chosen this location because we can visualize the protagonist -Tate being isolated in this location and alone. The wet floor connotes to the dark gritty tone of the movie and the location is iconic to the audience because of the dim colors drawing their attention.

2nd photo: The second photo is also a tight alley way in Vauxhall. We have quite a few alleyways in our opening sequence and movie because they are generally found in BSR's. Therefore, it conforms to these conventionally locations.

3rd photo: This photo shows an image that can be compared to a wasteland. The reason of this is because of the vast space and how open it is - meaning of how wasted the life of the protagonist is and how detached he is from society. The broken and run down buildings also connote the problematic and really chaotic life of Tate. This will appeal and attract the audience of 16-24 year olds because it creates escapism, as you would not really see staying here in this location.

4th photo: This image shows the river by some of the houses located there. This challenges some of the conventions of a BSR because they usually don't hold locations where it looks calm and peaceful, such as rivers. This can also be attractive to the audience because they can see how lonely and isolated the protagonist is, as he would be relaxing/staying here alone.

5th photo: This image is similar to the 3rd image from above. However, the differences is that the destruction and chaos of the debris and rubble here isn't as severe. Again this means that the target audience may personally identify themselves with the protagonist, as he enjoys staying at a place away from many people.

Week 9 Production Log

For this week, we are now going to properly plan out days we are going to film and the people that are going to be in our cast.

By having a production/shooting schedule to plan days when me and my group are going to film scenes, it would be beneficial because if someone in my group isn't available to come out on a particular day then we can adjust accordingly. We are going to re shoot any scenes that we need to after we have identified any mistakes or improvements needed for our opening sequence.

The cast list shows the people who are supposedly able to act in our movie. However, whether they will certainly show up is not 100%, so we may have to change the storyline of our opening sequence according to their attendance rate.

In addition to this, we had to made a production script in order to give us a fundamental idea of the shots we are going to take, the location of it and what the shot is going to be of. However, again there may be a change in the storyline, so some of shots that we have described in the production script may not be used.
